“We wanted guests to feel transported to a place where tradition and future collide, playing with the rich textures of South-East Asia to create a space that’s vibrant, functional, and full of energy.”

– David Spaccatore, Senior Interior Designer

Fire and Spice.

The interior of Juni is a dramatic statement, with neon accents and strategic use of light and shadow setting the tone. Vibrant colour and texture reflect the ‘fire and spice’ concept of the menu while evoking the energy of bustling Asian street markets.

While the high ceilings over the 140-seat restaurant accentuates the restaurant’s sense of openness, thoughtful details ground the design in cultural authenticity.

Bold reds, pinks, and blue accents evoke the lively street origins of its menu, translating into a palpable energy.
Each zone is designed for versatility, whether it’s an intimate pre-theatre rendezvous or a lively late-night gathering.

The gleaming stainless steel open kitchen, anchored by a pink-sealed stone counter, serves as both the literal and figurative heart of the space. Opposite, a 90-minute custom-made looping projection casts a dreamy ambiance over the main dining area. Raw concrete beams, revealed during renovations, add an industrial edge softened by acoustic spray.

The intention for the layout was to be approachable and encourage a communal vibe, reflecting the restaurant’s emphasis on shared dining experiences.

The restaurant offers distinct spaces for every occasion. Plum, a semi-private dining nook, exudes intimacy with its tucked-away charm, while Pickle, an exclusive 20-seater mezzanine, provides a sophisticated setting for private gatherings.
