Located within the InterContinental Auckland, the restaurant is a premium destination for both hotel guests and locals, offering an elevated dining experience that echoes the region’s volcanic energy and the enduring strength of the land.
The word “Advieh” is derived from Middle Eastern origins, where it translates to “spice”. This connection evokes rich sensory experiences, encompassing vibrant hues and diverse textures that are reflected in the interiors.
A standout feature is the bespoke, wrap-around bar and kitchen joinery, crafted from six layers of timber to evoke the undulating texture of geological strata.
The colour scheme transitions from rich reds and oranges to cool greens and blues, inspired by the volcanic landscapes of New Zealand, particularly the sulphur pools and molten rock of Mount Tongariro.
Rich textures, sophisticated finishes, and carefully curated details create an inviting atmosphere. Expansive views of the Waitematā Harbour further enhance the experience, making Advieh a striking dining destination reflecting the nature of its waterfront location.
