Justin Northrop, Gabriella Gulacsi, Nick Travers and Sam Sempill
We’re excited to share some fresh updates from the team!
We recently captured new photography and a project video for Bank Street House — a refined, light-filled grand residence set within a Victorian heritage façade in South Melbourne.
Our Mayfield Homestead project in Albury was featured in Belle magazine’s Country Modern edition — a beautiful celebration of contemporary rural architecture.
We were also honoured to have Juni shortlisted in the Hospitality Design category at the Australian Interior Design Awards — a proud moment for the client, our team and our collaborators.
And finally, we’ve launched a dedicated Instagram page for our growing regional studio @techne_albury offering a closer look at our people, projects and presence in Albury and related regions.
Read on for all the details!

Sincerely,
Nick Travers and Justin Northrop

+ Project Update: Bank Street House
We’re excited to share new imagery and a project video of Bank Street House, now live on our website. This inner-city residence is a layered expression of warmth and restraint — a private, light-filled sanctuary set within a heritage façade. With crafted details and a strong material presence, the home reflects our client’s desire for calm, longevity, and hospitality driven design. We’re incredibly proud of this project and invite you to take a closer look.

+ Belle Magazine: Mayfield Homestead
We’re honoured to see our Mayfield Homestead project featured in the May issue of Belle magazine’s Country Modern edition — a celebration of refined rural living and contemporary design in regional settings.
This project is close to our hearts, balancing heritage sensibilities with a modern, textural palette that reflects its natural surrounds. Thoughtfully restored and reimagined, Mayfield Homestead speaks to the timelessness of country architecture through a contemporary Technē lens.
A huge thank you to Belle magazine for the feature, with words by Chris Pearson and photography by Tom Blachford. Didn’t get a copy and want to read the article? Click here!
