We’re excited to share some fresh updates from the team!
Our leadership team recently travelled to Thurgoona near Albury, celebrating the grand opening of Kinross Woolshed, where bespoke lighting (pictured above) and rural charm come together in a bold new pub development.
Back in Melbourne, we helped breathe new life into the Como Residence, assisting with staging and styling to prepare this early Technē project for sale.
Coming up in August, design writer Stephen Crafti is hosting his exclusive Melbourne Architecture Tour, offering rare access to some of the city’s most exceptional private homes and we’re thrilled to be attending. Booking information below.
We also bid farewell earlier this year to long-standing team member and Director, Steve McKeag. We thank him for his contributions over many years and wish him all the best for the future.
Read on for all the details!

Sincerely,
Nick Travers and Justin Northrop

+ Project Update: Kinross Woolshed’s Custom Lighting
As part of the broader pub transformation, the eye-catching custom luminaires by Moya Delany below are made from vintage banners, gymkhana ribbons and antique French fringing, are a playful nod to the site’s rural roots.
Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing the full project once it’s professionally photographed!

+ Steve McKeag: Next Chapter
Earlier this year Technē bid farewell to one of it’s Directors, Steve McKeag.
Steve joined Technē in 2007 and established himself as a vital team member, responsible for key projects and fulfilling the unofficial role of social coordinator – making new staff feel welcome and advocating for fancy dress at any opportunity. In 2017 Steve Joined Nick and Justin as a Director and Shareholder and has spent the last seven productive years at the healm of Technē.
Steve made the difficult decision to resign from his role with Technē in order to spend more time with family in his local community of Jan Jac on the Victorian Surf Coast. He continues to practice as an Architect.
We miss his energy and positivity and wish him every success for the future.
